Juliet and Romeo

In my opinion, I think that Shakespeare told us the ending on purpose. This would keep us interested and think of many questions like, how are they going to die? are they really going to die? how are other people going to react to this? and many other questions. Our human nature makes us want more, so we want every detail of it. And the beauty of Shakespeare's writing is that he writes in double meaning, which keeps the reader very interested. Besides that, he writes the story in a course which gives people hope that Romeo and Juliet are not going to die, but he takes everybody off guard and gives a tragic ending to the story. This, along with many other factors, makes the story more interesting. Besides, he complements the story with lots of other events which makes us think that Juliet is going to end up with Romeo or also other things. And besides, how Shakespeare writes in a poetic way the whole story makes the reader even more interested.

Stealing...

It's not right for Liesel and Rudy to steal those apples at the orchard. Stealing is a sin, no matter in what situation the person might be in. Just because Liesel and Rudy are in constant hunger because of the poverty they live in, this doesn't justify their actions. If we let people steal just because they're poor, society will colapse and form a chaotic world. Stealing is a sin, no matter who committed the crime. This is the problem we have in Honduras. People are so poor that they opt to stealing because that's their only chance of surviving. So, as a result, crime has soared in Honduras. It's the same there. It ain't right that Liesel and Rudy steal from hard-working people. If they continue stealing, then the victim might have to steal too, which causes a vicious circle. So, even though Liesel and Rudy are poor, this doesn't justify their actions. Stealing is bad and a sin to whoever who committed the crime.

Book Thief Prediction

Lots of things can be predicted about the Book Thief because of the information that is given. But I will write the basics. First, since she is the Book Thief, I believe she will steal lots of books, including ones that can incriminate her like Jewish books (it's obvious that WWII will occur at that time). She will have at least 10 books. And, I believe that like in a bombing or a raiding the Nazis will discover the books, so they will think that she has given information to the enemy and she will be killed. Also, I predict that she will eventually get in love with Rudy Steiner, but it won't last long because she will be killed and probably every person in contact with her. Besides, after the Jesse Owens incident, I think Rudy will be considered a black lover and a freak, so you can probably imagine what can happen. I predict that Liesel's father will eventually find her, and since I believe he is Jewish, he will be captured and Liesel also because of genetics. These are some of the predictions that can be made, but I just stuck to the basics.

Anita's diary☻

Anita and Mami settled in the Mancini's house. Mami tells Anita to write in her diary.

June 5
They had limited space because they were in a walk-in closet. When the Mancini's lock their bedroom, they can shower and have some room. Someone snores, so Mrs. Mancini tells them to quiet down.

June 6
Mrs. Mancini says she likes to lock the master bedroom and clean it because she doesn't trust the Domestic Service. Mrs. Mancini says loads of people are being arrested because of the murder.

July 18
The lights are going out in the capital, so Anita is writing in her diary. She feels hopeful because a rally is planned and a Carta Magna was published in the newspaper.

Effects of living like a caged bird

I think that the effects had on Anita would be inmense. She might be depressed, and maybe even suicidal. Living like a caged animal or bird, without freedom, brings depression. But, I think that maybe Anita is really strong, so she will keep up her hopes and not get overwhelmed by this situation. The effects that this type of living would cause to me would be enormous. I would, sooner or later, become insane. I like to stand up and do whatever I want, but living in a closet and get scared for every little noise would definitely drive me insane and depresses. I believe that if Anita would live like this for like a year, or she would either give up and suicide, or she would become insane just like I said before. People and animals are made to be free, not to live in a closet. It would be okay if I were alone, but sharing a confined space would be desastrous. I don't remmeber, but there is certainly one book that talks of a little girl living in a similar way to Anita and Mami, but this was in the Holocaust, an even worse time. The Mancini's are taking the right decision because they are protecting their friends. It would be too risky if it was any outsider, but these friends can get tortured and killed if found by the SIM. Iotally support the Macini's. Besides, they played a huge role in the freedom of the Dominican Republic, so it may be risky, but it is worth it.
